Tinubu Arrives Back In Nigeria, Presidency Confirms

The Presidency has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu and his team are scheduled to return to Nigeria from Europe today.

Tinubu embarked on his journey over two weeks ago, starting with a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Following this engagement, he proceeded to Saudi Arabia to participate in a special World Economic Forum. Subsequently, he continued his travels to Europe.

The announcement of Tinubu’s return was made by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a post on his social media handle yesterday.

Tinubu’s official visit commenced on April 22, when he departed from Abuja to The Netherlands at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Following his engagements in The Netherlands, he attended the World Economic Forum meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between April 28 and 29.

While Tinubu was expected back in Nigeria after the Saudi Arabia forum, his delayed return sparked speculation about his whereabouts. Some reports suggested that he traveled to London for a private visit before heading to France.

With his imminent return, all eyes are on Tinubu as he concludes his diplomatic and economic engagements abroad.
