In his New Year message, Tinubu expressed gratitude to the Nigerian populace for entrusting him with the mandate in the 2023 general elections. He acknowledged the tasks ahead, highlighting his commitment to revamp the economy, restore security, revitalize the industrial sector, boost agricultural production, and set the country on a path to national greatness.
Tinubu acknowledged the difficult decisions taken over the past seven months, such as the removal of fuel subsidy and addressing the foreign exchange system’s challenges. He assured Nigerians that despite the discomfort caused by these decisions, they were necessary to save the country from fiscal catastrophe.
