According to *The Guardian*, a flight tracking service had indicated that Tinubu’s aircraft was set to depart for Nice, France, on Friday afternoon.

However, a recent update reveals that the flight plan for the presidential aircraft has been canceled. A close aide to the President confirmed that Tinubu remains at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. “President Bola Tinubu will no longer be returning to France. He is currently at Aso Rock,” a source told *The Guardian*.

*Naija News* reports that Tinubu had returned to the country this morning to administer the oath of office to Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the new CJN. The ceremony took place at 11:38 am at the State House in Abuja. Justice Kekere-Ekun is the second female jurist in Nigeria’s history to serve as Chief Justice, following Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar, who held the position from July 2012 to November 2014. She will serve in an acting capacity pending confirmation by the Senate.
