The assembly brought together several prominent APC leaders, including former national chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former Ogun State Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and current governors Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti). These leaders expressed their support for Tinubu and the party’s goals for the upcoming elections.

In a keynote address, former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi praised Tinubu as a “listening leader” dedicated to national progress. Represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain patient, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to national development.

Gbajabiamila echoed the President’s determination to make tough decisions that would benefit the country in the long run, focusing on future generations rather than immediate electoral concerns. He stated, “Mr. President has asked me to tell you that he is not thinking of the next election but the next generation,” highlighting Tinubu’s awareness of the challenges facing the nation.

He further stressed that despite the difficulties arising from necessary reforms, Tinubu is motivated by a strong conviction to guide Nigeria through transformative changes. “The challenges facing our country are vast and complex, but Tinubu has always been a leader with a deep love for the people. He feels their struggles but is determined to move forward with his vision for Nigeria’s future,” Gbajabiamila added.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu reinforced the importance of unity within the South-West, asserting that collective efforts are vital for harnessing the region’s resources and advancing the nation. He urged all leaders and members to continue supporting Tinubu beyond the 2027 elections.

Senate Majority Leader Bamidele Opeyemi highlighted the South-West APC Caucus’s strategic role in the 10th Assembly, noting that 15 of the 18 Senators from the region belong to the APC. This positions the caucus to significantly influence national legislative matters. Opeyemi also pointed out the successful passage of the South West Development Commission Bill as essential for regional equity.

In his keynote address, Fayemi called for the South-West Caucus model to be replicated at the state and local government levels, encouraging unity within the APC to fulfill Tinubu’s “renewed hope agenda.” He expressed confidence that the party would remain strong under Tinubu’s leadership, stating, “We cannot continue to rest on our oars as a party. I am convinced that APC will remain strong to accomplish the unfinished business of the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.
