The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership, led by Abdullahi Ganduje, may postpone the inaugural National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting until 2025 due to President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing absence from Nigeria. Sources within the APC Secretariat indicated that this delay stems from Tinubu’s busy schedule and lack of return.

An insider noted, “Currently, the President is still abroad, which led to the cancellation of the initial September dates for the NEC meeting. With only two months left in the year, it’s unlikely we can hold the meeting before then, especially around the festive period in December. 2024 is effectively gone.”
