Yakasai highlighted that the funds saved through President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies are being invested into critical sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, health, and other developmental initiatives.
“The hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy and the floating of the Naira is temporary,” Yakasai stated during the distribution of rice palliatives to residents of Nassarawa Local Government Area in Kano State.
He added, “These bold steps were taken because, for years, fuel subsidy only benefitted a select few. Now, we are redirecting these saved funds into essential projects, including the revival of refineries. Under this administration, we’ve witnessed the Port Harcourt Refinery coming back online, with production at 60 percent capacity. This is a significant achievement.”
Yakasai also pointed out that President Tinubu’s commitment to reviving the nation’s refineries is evident, with the Warri Refinery also operational. He stressed that the government remains focused on improving the lives of the vulnerable, including women and grassroots party members, through initiatives like rice distribution.
