Wike spoke at the commissioning of several road projects—most notably the dualisation and upgrade of the War College/Army checkpoint road and ancillary routes in the Ushafa-Bwari area of Abuja—where Vice President Kashim Shettima stood in for the President.

On his own management style, Wike admitted he’s a demanding boss. “If you can survive working with me, you can survive anywhere,” he declared. “I don’t nominate people just to enjoy perks—they must deliver results, make sacrifices, and prove their worth, not parade themselves for publicity.”
