Total War On Insecurity: Army Boss Unleashes Troops On All Enemies Of Nigeria

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has urged Nigerian troops to take decisive action against all forms of security threats confronting the nation.

He delivered this charge during the Eid-el-Adha luncheon with troops deployed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) of Sub-Sector 6, Operation Fansan Yanma, located in Fatika, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, according to a NAN report.

Represented by the Chief of Logistics, Nigerian Army, Major General Erema Akerejola, Oluyede paid tribute to the ultimate sacrifices of Nigerian Army personnel who laid down their lives in the pursuit of peace, unity, and national stability.

He commended the bravery, unwavering loyalty, and uncommon courage of troops, which have led to notable successes even in the face of serious threats.

Expressing gratitude for the gift of life and the relative peace restored in several parts of the country, Oluyede renewed the Army’s hope for a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.

He acknowledged that many soldiers bear visible marks of valor—battle scars and injuries—while others carry with them the indelible memories and stories of their service and sacrifice for the nation.

The Army Chief prayed for the repose of the souls of fallen heroes and assured their families that their selfless contributions will always be remembered and honored by Nigerians and the global community.

Reaffirming the Army’s steadfast commitment to protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity, Oluyede described Eid-el-Kabir as a profound occasion that embodies the spirit of sacrifice, unity, and compassion.

He extended his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support, strategic leadership, and clear direction. Oluyede also thanked the Nigerian people for their continued faith in and support for the Nigerian Army.

“The Nigerian Army looks forward to deepening its collaboration with all stakeholders to eliminate insecurity and foster an environment conducive to economic development, national stability, and prosperity,” he stated.
