Trafficking Operation Foiled: Three Ebonyi Teenagers Rescued In Ghana....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Three teenage girls hailing from Ikwo Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, purportedly trafficked to Ghana, have been safely recovered. Identified as Ogah Chinecherem from Ohatekwe Amagu, Odor Favour from Abina Amagu, and Osinachi Nweke Umanyi from Ndioduma Omege Echara, these girls were rescued through the efforts of Mr. Meba Igwe, the Chairman of Ikwo Development Union, Lagos branch.

Allegedly trafficked by Mrs. Abigail Nweke, a resident of the same local government, the girls were handed over to a woman from Cross River, whose identity remains undisclosed, for transportation to Ghana. The teenagers, who departed from their respective homes in January, were initially routed through Lagos before their intended journey to Ghana was interrupted by immigration officers during border patrol.

Upon learning of the situation, Imeba Igwe took decisive action to rescue the girls. Subsequently, they were transferred to the custody of Barrister Sunday Nwankwo, the Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, at his office in the local government headquarters.

Barrister Nwankwo commended Igwe for his swift intervention in rescuing the girls and stressed the importance of parental vigilance in safeguarding children against such unfortunate occurrences. He urged parents to maintain close monitoring of their children to prevent similar incidents in the future.
