The woman, whose behavior appeared erratic, was discovered lying helplessly on Asikolaye Street on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Local residents suspect she may have been a victim of a ritual sacrifice.
Speaking to reporters, a resident known as Baba Lekan said, “The lady must have been dumped in the area during the night. Before we left on Saturday, there was no sign of her, but by Monday morning when we resumed our activities, we found her. She couldn’t speak or recognize anything around her.”
“She was well-dressed, which made us think she might have fallen into the hands of yahoo boys. We strongly suspect they used her for money rituals,” he added.
He called on the state government and relevant authorities to come to the woman’s aid.
