Unlike Me, They’re Cowards!” – Dele Momodu Blasts Silent Defectors Eyeing APC

Veteran journalist and politician, Dele Momodu, has firmly ruled out any possibility of defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain stated that if he were interested in switching to the APC, he would be making excuses—like many other politicians who try to rationalize their cross-party moves.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief on Wednesday, Momodu claimed that while some politicians are secretly considering a move to the APC, they lack the courage to do so openly, as they continue to evaluate their political calculations.

However, he made it clear that he isn’t among them.

“There’s no chance I’ll join the APC—that’s completely off the table,” Momodu asserted.
“If I were considering such a move, I wouldn’t be speaking to you the way I am today. I’d be making excuses like the others who want to join but don’t have the boldness to admit it.
But I’m not weighing any such option. My conscience is completely against it.”

He further criticized the internal dynamics of the APC, saying:

“I can’t be part of a party where one man treats grown, accomplished adults like subordinates—giving orders as if he were lord and master. I simply can’t belong in that kind of room.”
