UNN Dominates SciVal Rankings, Securing Top Spot Among Nigerian Institutions 2020-2023
The University of Nigeria has recently been recognized as the leading academic institution in terms of scholarly output among 133 research institutions evaluated by SciVal, a reputable organization providing access to research performance data for over 24,300 research institutions and their affiliated scholars worldwide…….CONTINUE READING
In its latest ranking report released in January 2024, SciVal unveiled that the University of Nigeria has achieved an outstanding total of 7,025 scholarly outputs, authored by 5,813 researchers, surpassing other Nigerian universities. This data covers the period between 2020 and 2023. The University of Ibadan secured the second position in the ranking with 6,978 scholarly outputs contributed by 4,732 authors.
Expressing his satisfaction with this achievement, Prof Charles Igwe, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, attributed the success to the high-quality research standards maintained by the university’s faculties, emphasizing that this accomplishment reflects the institution’s esteemed reputation.
