The Service of Songs and burial ceremony attracted a plethora of prominent Nigerians from across the country. However, the presence of the Vice President of Nigeria, alongside Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, stirred both negative and positive reactions due to their choice of attire at the solemn event.
