Victory Echoes In The South West! PDP Re-Elects Ajisafe Amid Cheers And Confidence

Ajisafe was re-elected on Wednesday during the party’s elective zonal congress held at the Emeritus Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, located opposite UCH, Ibadan. The congress was overseen by the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, who chaired the Electoral Committee and served as Chief Electoral Officer.

The exercise, conducted under tight security, was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Delegates from all six South West states—Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti—attended the congress, which was hailed as peaceful, well-organized, and a testament to the party’s unity.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke commended the party for its resilience and unity despite internal challenges. They praised the cooperative spirit that led to Ajisafe’s uncontested re-election. Other key PDP leaders, including Chief Olabode George, Deputy National Chairman (South) Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, and other stakeholders, were present at the event.

In his speech, Ajisafe pledged to work towards the party’s unity and assured delegates that he and his executives would fulfill their mandate, aiming to restore the party to the path of victory.
