Melaye humorously explained that on New Year’s Day, he found himself in a situation where he couldn’t secure a cook in the UAE, leading him to take matters into his own hands. In the video, he lamented the absence of his chefs in his Maitama mansion in Abuja, joking that he would have had them prepare a meal for him if he were in Nigeria.

Expressing his love for cooking, Melaye pointed out the costliness of hiring a chef abroad, especially when factoring in the exchange rate to Nigeria’s currency. Despite the humorous context, he also took a moment to express optimism about Nigeria’s future under President Tinubu, stating his belief that the country would experience greatness.
