President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a six-month suspension for Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu of Rivers State.

Additionally, the President has declared a State of Emergency in the state.

Retired Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe has been appointed as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
