Wigwe: Ogunbanjo Family Files Lawsuit Against Charter Company Following Helicopter Crash....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The family of the late former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash in Southern California back in February, has taken legal action against the US helicopter company involved. Also onboard the ill-fated flight were Dr. Herbert Wigwe, former CEO of Access Holdings, along with his wife and son.

The lawsuit, filed by Ogunbanjo’s relatives, alleges that the helicopter operated by Orbic Air should not have taken off due to hazardous weather conditions. According to reports, the crash occurred amidst a mix of snow and rain in the Mojave Desert.

Andrew C. Robb, one of the attorneys representing Ogunbanjo’s family, emphasized the quest for answers and accountability. He highlighted the dangers of flying helicopters in snowy and icy conditions, stressing that the tragedy could have been avoided.

The lawsuit targets Orbic Air and its CEO, Brady Bowers, as well as the successors of individuals identified as Pettingill and Hansen, holding them accountable for negligence and wrongful death. Orbic Air has yet to provide a response.

Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation into the crash. Initial findings revealed the circumstances surrounding the flight and subsequent wreckage, with witnesses describing a fiery scene amidst adverse weather.

In seeking justice, Ogunbanjo’s family is pursuing a jury trial to cover burial expenses, funeral costs, and additional damages. Notably, the legal representation for the family, Robb & Robb, has previously handled cases involving high-profile aviation accidents.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the pursuit of accountability remains paramount for those affected by this tragic incident.
