Wike revealed that he had revoked a plot of land belonging to former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, citing non-compliance with payment requirements.
The minister made the statement during the 60th birthday celebration of the PDP National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, which took place at the newly refurbished Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja over the weekend.
Speaking at the event, Wike emphasized that landowners would receive premium services from the FCT Administration only if they meet their financial responsibilities.
He stated:
“Rochas Okorocha is present here. He’s my boss, but I had to revoke his land because the law must be upheld. He’s still my guy.”
“To the senators present—Ikpeazu and other colleagues—take note: if you don’t pay, your property will be repossessed.”
“See the transformation Julius Berger has done here—it didn’t happen by magic, it was funded. Pay your dues and you’ll enjoy the best services, as we are delivering under President Tinubu’s leadership. I make no apologies; I’m simply doing my job.”
