A police source from the Meiran division confirmed the arrest and disclosed that once the investigation is concluded, the suspect will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department. The altercation between the couple resulted in the wife scalding her husband with hot water.
The police source assured the public that the matter would be thoroughly investigated, emphasizing that the husband, who has been hospitalized since the incident, is being closely monitored.
“The incident happened about six days ago. It was a true story. She poured hot water on her husband purposely because she felt that he cheated on her,” stated the police source. “They were supposed to go to a party together. However, the husband went all alone. We are still monitoring the progress of the husband because he has been hospitalized since that day. He has not been discharged.”
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, revealing that it took place on December 18, 2023. According to Hundeyin, the couple had planned to attend the wedding together, but a decision by the husband to go alone resulted in the heated altercation, culminating in the wife boiling water and pouring it on her husband.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at a healthcare facility, and the police have initiated an investigation into the incident, as confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
