Yuguda made these remarks after a forum in Abuja hosted by Olu Verheijen, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Energy. He praised the President’s initiatives, particularly in the power sector, which he sees as a promising development for the country. He urged citizens to remain patient as the reforms take effect.

He noted that previous governments invested heavily in the power sector but with limited success. However, he commended the current administration for its targeted interventions and incentives aimed at enhancing power distribution to vulnerable populations.

“As a forum, we are committed to tracking government achievements and informing the public that the government is indeed making progress,” Yuguda stated, highlighting the importance of these efforts in making power more accessible.

In a related development, the Presidency has called on Nigerians to remain calm and understanding during the ongoing economic reforms under Tinubu’s leadership. Delu Bulus-Yakubu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, made this appeal during an address for the 2024 International Poverty Eradication Day in Abuja.
