According to DAILY POST, the report was discussed during Wednesday’s plenary session. House Majority Leader Hon. Bello Muhammad Mazawaje Tsafe introduced the motion for debate, which was seconded by Deputy Speaker Hon. Adamu Aliyu Gummi.

Mazawaje emphasized the significance of the Auditor General’s report, noting its importance for the State lawmakers to review and address appropriately.

Lawmakers Hon. Rilwanu Marafa Nagambo of Anka and Hon. Mikailu Aliyu Dangulbi of Maru South underscored the need to thoroughly examine the report to ensure its accuracy and quality before approval. They recommended that the House Public Accounts Committee be tasked with a detailed review to meet acceptable standards.

Following a comprehensive discussion, Speaker Hon. Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki directed the Public Accounts Committee to examine the Auditor General’s report and provide recommendations for necessary actions.

Additionally, the House has requested all relevant authorities to submit statements of account and documents related to pension payments in the state to the appropriate committees. This request was put forward by Hon. Rilwanu Marafa Nagambo and supported by Hon. Halliru Abdullahi Kuturu of Zurmi East and Hon. Nura Dahiru Sabon Birni.
