The Governor made this announcement during his visit to the Community Protection Guards (CPG) training camp in the State capital, Gusau, on Wednesday.

In a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was highlighted that the ongoing training for the Community Protection Guards (CPG) has instilled a sense of hope and confidence in the state’s efforts to combat insecurity.

The statement further explained that the recruitment process for the CPG was rigorous, with 300 candidates chosen from each of the 14 local government areas in Zamfara.

Governor Lawal expressed optimism in the fight against insecurity, emphasizing the necessity for a collective responsibility to ensure peace in Zamfara.

During his visit, he urged the recruits to commit themselves to the training, recognizing the significant challenges ahead and the need for sacrifice for the greater good.

Governor Lawal conveyed his satisfaction with the progress observed at the training camp, expressing confidence that the state’s rescue mission is on track to secure a better future for Zamfara.
