Expressing dismay over the behavior of certain filling stations, bakeries, and bread vendors in rural areas, Haidara emphasized that they were employing vehicles and motorcycles to distribute petroleum products and bread to individuals believed to be armed bandits. He urged these entities to cease such practices immediately.
Additionally, the council has prohibited the use of tinted glass, covering of number plates, and the use of sirens on unauthorized vehicles. The commissioner directed security agencies to apprehend and prosecute offenders engaged in these activities.
Haidara further advised motorists who have not yet registered their vehicles’ number plates with relevant government bodies to do so promptly. He emphasized that concerned authorities, in collaboration with security agencies, have been authorized to arrest and prosecute those who fail to comply.
Moreover, the commissioner disclosed that security agencies have successfully recovered cattle from bandits. He urged citizens whose cattle were rustled to provide supporting evidence and follow the due process to reclaim their animals.
