Baba-Ahmed made this known on Friday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he spoke about the recently formed coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to him, aside from former Anambra governor Peter Obi, Amaechi is another political figure he views positively, describing him as a “good guy.”
He said: “Rotimi Amaechi is a good guy. He is one of those I can adopt.”

However, Baba-Ahmed dismissed the ADC-led coalition, insisting it is merely “deceiving Nigerians” with empty promises of rescuing the country.
“They are deceiving us,” he declared.

Reaffirming his loyalty to Obi, with whom he contested the 2023 presidential election, Baba-Ahmed said he remains ready to serve as Obi’s running mate in 2027.

He further stressed that Obi should stay in the Labour Party and contest under its platform, despite Obi’s ongoing engagements with figures in the ADC coalition, including David Mark, Atiku Abubakar, Nasir el-Rufai, Rotimi Amaechi, and Rauf Aregbesola.
