Speaking on Saturday in Kaduna at the combined passing-out parade for 823 officers from the 71 Regular Course of the Army, Navy, and Air Force at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Tinubu was represented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas. The ceremony also included graduates from the Direct Short Service Course 28 (Army) and Direct Short Service Course 32 (Air Force).

Tinubu stated, “We are the giant of Africa and must remain so.” He assured the Armed Forces of his administration’s continued support while acknowledging the economic hardships faced by citizens. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for all Nigerians.

He called on the public to support his administration’s efforts in addressing economic challenges. “The current government is dedicated to creating better living conditions for Nigerians and has begun implementing various measures to confront these issues,” he said. “We need the cooperation of all Nigerians to find better solutions in our collective interest.”

Addressing the NDA cadets, Tinubu stressed the necessity of loyalty and commitment to the nation. “Nigeria requires your dedication, resilience, and service,” he urged. “Be prepared to respond whenever the nation calls upon you.”
