During his suspension, Fubara reportedly held meetings with both Tinubu and Wike to seek peace.

In a viral video addressing his supporters, Fubara expressed optimism about restoring peace with his “Oga” — a reference to Wike. He emphasized that despite claims he isn’t a politician, the respect he has earned matters far more than respect that is forced.

He said, “There is no reason why peace cannot be achieved between me and my Oga. We want peace so Rivers can progress.

“They say I’m not a politician, but I’m unsure what the requirements are to be one. What matters most to me is the respect I have earned, not the respect that is imposed.
