Breaking: El-Rufai Stopped At Airport As Security Agents Attempt Arrest
Security operatives on Thursday reportedly tried to arrest former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, upon his return to Nigeria from Cairo, Egypt.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The development was disclosed by his media aide, Muyiwa Adekeye.
Adekeye said the officers moved to detain El-Rufai at the airport, but he refused to comply without being presented with a formal invitation. During the encounter, the operatives allegedly seized his passport from one of his aides.
In a statement, Adekeye said: “Security agents today attempted to arrest Malam Nasir El-Rufai as he arrived on a flight from Cairo. Malam El-Rufai declined to follow them without a formal invitation. They, however, snatched his passport from an aide.”
