A chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Buba Galadima, has described the Supreme Court ruling on the leadership crisis in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a “booby trap” for members of the opposition coalition.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Galadima made the remark on Monday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He explained that the wave of defections from the ADC to the NDC was largely driven by ongoing court cases and internal divisions within the party.

Galadima also called on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other ADC members to join the NDC, urging them to unite in a bid to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next election.

He said, “We only left the ADC after the judgment created what we see as a trap for everyone in the party. That is why we are inviting our colleagues who are still in the ADC to move to the NDC, where there will be a fair playing ground for all.

“We are especially appealing to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to join us in the NDC so that everyone can compete on equal terms.”

Galadima’s appeal comes shortly after former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso, formally joined the NDC.
