Nollywood actor Kolawole Ajeyemi has reflected on his longstanding journey in the Nigerian film industry, expressing gratitude to God for how far he has come while paying tribute to veteran actors who played significant roles in his early career.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Ajeyemi recently shared throwback photographs of himself alongside respected Yoruba movie veterans Yinka Quadri and Dele Odule on social media. The actor revealed that the photographs were taken between 1994 and 1996, during the early stages of his career.

Reflecting on his humble beginnings, Ajeyemi said his journey had been marked by challenges and experiences that shaped his career. He noted that anyone who understood where he started and the difficulties he overcame would have every reason to appreciate God for his progress.

The actor also used the opportunity to honour Quadri and Odule, describing them as fathers and respected elders whose presence represented an important part of his early years in the industry.

Ajeyemi wrote that the old photographs brought back memories of his beginnings and expressed appreciation for the veterans, whom he respectfully acknowledged for their status and influence within the Yoruba film industry.

His reflection has since attracted reactions from fans and fellow entertainers, with many praising the actor for remaining humble and remembering the senior colleagues who were part of his formative years.

Ajeyemi has remained active in Nollywood, particularly within the Yoruba-language film sector, where he has established himself as a recognised actor and filmmaker. His latest post highlights both his appreciation for the industry’s older generation and his gratitude for his own journey from a young aspiring actor to an established figure in Nigerian entertainment.
