The G5 is a rebellious group led by Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and made up of Former Governor Ugwaniyi of Enugu, Ex-Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and Governor Ikpeazu of Abia State. This group, together with other influential individuals, voiced their grievances and actively worked against the interests of their party’s flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, in the recently concluded election.
