Wike alongside his other People Democratic Party chieftains arrived at the State House at about 4:21 pm and went straight to the office of the President.

Recall Wike has met with President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu three times in the last ten days. Although He is rumored to have a secured ministerial slot under this present administration.

The group known as the G5, composed of former Governor Ugwaniyi of Enugu, Ex-Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Governor Wike of Rivers State, emerged as a faction within their political party during the recent election. This faction worked against the interests of their party’s flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar.
