Kolo’s initial appearance on Monday unveiled shocking revelations, as he disclosed that, during his tenure at the FCC, he facilitated transactions where individual applicants paid sums ranging from N1 million to N1.5 million. These payments were allegedly made to the FCC Chairman, Dr. Muyeebat Dankaka, through Kolo.
According to Kolo, “The FCC Chairman instructed me to liaise with one Mr. Shehu, a personal driver and PA to the Taraba State Commissioner.
Shehu introduced applicants who paid monies to my personal account for job placements—some paid N1 million, while others paid N1.5 million. All payments were directed to my personal Ecobank account.
She (Dankaka) instructed me to provide her with cash, which I did through PoS transactions. Thus, there is no transfer evidence or other forms of documentation.”
In response to Kolo’s repeated non-appearance, Hon. Gagdi announced the issuance of the arrest warrant, cautioning that if Kolo continues to evade the probe, security agencies will be mobilized to ensure his presence. Additionally, the committee directed Kolo’s current employer, AMCON, to produce him for the ongoing investigation.
However, several agencies, including AMCON, that were scheduled to participate in the proceedings failed to attend the session, prompting further attention to the gravity of the situation.
