The Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja is set to deliver its judgment on petitions challenging the election of President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, September 6. This announcement follows the merging of petitions submitted by various political parties, as reported by SaharaReporters in May when the tribunal presented the trial schedule and pre-hearing report on the petition. During this process, the tribunal also reserved judgment on petitions filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. This decision was made to ensure that the judgments for these petitions align with that of Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
It’s worth noting that a recent rumor suggesting a judgment date of September 16 has been denied, with the confirmed date for the verdict being September 6, 2023.
