Characterizing the situation as a national embarrassment, the organization emphasized that the exchange regarding the envoys’ tenure could have been more effectively managed in the best interests of the nation.

In a statement released  Friday, signed by Malam Abdul Aliyu and Melford Nwokike, the national coordinator and the national secretary, respectively, the group accused the Foreign Affairs Minister of mishandling diplomatic procedures, creating a chaotic process for President Tinubu’s government.

The organization highlighted the current stalemate between the Minister and the recalled Envoys, who find themselves stranded in their respective Missions.

This predicament is attributed to the Ministry’s alleged failure to provide the requisite three months’ notice and pay the ambassadors their passage allowance.

Expressing concern over the unsettling claims and counterclaims, the CSO urged President Tinubu to intervene and caution the Minister, calling for a resolution to the matter for the stability of the nation.
