Ngelale dismissed the notion that Tinubu’s interventions were driven by political motives aimed at destabilizing specific regions or states. He clarified during an interview with ChannelsTV on Monday evening that the President’s actions were motivated by the desire to prevent the escalation of local disturbances into a nationwide crisis.
According to Ngelale, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Tinubu is committed to ensuring the safety of the Nigerian people and maintaining a stable environment free from insecurity. If a political crisis poses a threat to national security by generating manmade insecurity, the President deems it necessary to intervene. Ngelale emphasized that this decision is a strategic and wise move to safeguard the well-being of the citizens, stating that the President will not stand idly by when the security of the people is at risk.
