In a video that has since gone viral, Dr. Johnson conveyed his eagerness, stating, “Nigeria, I’m waiting for an invitation. I’m trying to get into Nollywood. I want to star in some of the Nigerian movies. Somebody put me in touch with Black Nollywood in Nigeria.”
However, Dr. Johnson made it clear that he would only participate in films that uphold progressive and pan-Africanist themes. He stressed that his roles must reflect his principles and values, rejecting any portrayals that perpetuate negative stereotypes or undermine his beliefs.
“I will not play a con on television. I’m not playing no pimp, no drug dealer, no criminal. It must be consistent. egocentricity is a necessity,” he emphasized.
