Taking to his social media platform, Rufai criticized the Tinubu government, urging the president to prioritize the welfare of the common man:

“Na wa ooo inflation 31.7% ooo. And some lying people say price of things are going down. Even president Tinubu says things are getting better. Propaganda no be result, when we see results we will celebrate. I want Tinubu to do well but currently he’s not doing well.”
