Gani Adams Dismisses Assassination Claims, Blames Distorted Voice Note....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Gani Adams, the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, has broken his silence regarding allegations aimed at tarnishing his reputation, asserting that he will not tolerate deliberate attempts to besmirch his name.

Addressing the recent controversy surrounding an audio clip, Adams expressed his readiness to provide clarity on the misconceptions surrounding the alleged defamation contained within the clips, which he asserted were manipulated and misrepresented.

Earlier reports by The PUNCH highlighted threats of legal action from Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, against Adams for allegedly implicating them in an assassination plot.

In a pre-action letter dated March 20, 2024, Ayinde’s lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN), raised concerns about a viral audio note where Adams purportedly made damaging remarks implicating Igboho and Ayinde.

However, in response to these allegations, Adams, through his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, refuted the claims, denouncing the audio note as distorted. He labeled the threats of lawsuits by Igboho and Ayinde as part of a concerted effort to discredit him and his position.

In a statement titled “Don’t take my silence for cowardice, Gani Adams speaks on alleged defamation of character,” Adams emphasized his commitment to defending his integrity and the honor of his position as the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland.
