Police Arrest Kidnappers Who Dozed Off After Abducting Pastor’s Wife And Others In Ondo
The Ondo StateP olice Command has apprehended five suspected kidnappers who fell asleep after kidnapping a pastor’s wife and two other individuals.
The suspects, identified as Garuba Mumuni (27), Yusuf Tale (21), Kabiru Muhammed (16), Shaibu Umar, and Adamu Mohammed (22), reportedly succumbed to drowsiness induced by hard drugs.
The arrest was made by officers of the Ofosu Division following identification by the victims. According to police reports, the pastor’s wife and a church member were abducted within the church premises, while the third victim was taken while gathering snails on a farm. Fortunately, all three managed to escape from their captors on different occasions when the kidnappers dozed off due to the effects of the drugs.Commissioner of Police Abayomi Oladipo stated that the apprehended suspects would soon face charges in court, bringing a measure of justice to the victims and their families.
