Akpabio Fires Warning: Restoring Natasha Won’t Erase Other Outstanding Claims – Afenifere To Senate & AGF

Natasha had accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, which led the Senate to suspend her for six months for breaching its rules. Following the expiration of her suspension, she has resumed her legislative duties.

In a statement on Thursday, Afenifere urged the Senate, the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, and Nigeria’s security agencies to conduct a thorough review of the case to uncover the truth.

The group emphasized that justice and fairness demand a proper investigation, noting that the matter has drawn international attention from media outlets and foreign parliaments.

Afenifere stated, “While we acknowledge the Senate’s decision to lift the six-month suspension imposed on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, her reinstatement does not mean that all her claims should be disregarded without judicial examination.”
