Activist Deji Adeyanju has criticized the Executive Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, of the Labour Party following reports that he allocated a staggering 1.5 billion naira for just two vehicles. READ FULL ARTICLE HERE
The approved budget for Abia State in 2024 has unveiled Governor Alex Otti’s allocation of a whopping N1.5 billion for the purchase of “two numbers of Toyota Hilux.” This revelation comes amid earlier reports that Otti proposed a total expenditure of N13 billion for the acquisition of various vehicles in 2024.
Governor Otti assented to the 2024 Appropriation Bill of N567.2 billion on December 28, 2023. The breakdown of the budget earmarked N5,946,756,437 for motor vehicles, N2,704,980,600 for vans, N949,000,000 for trucks, and N3,011,804,906 for buses.
Deji Adeyanju, commenting on the report via his social media handles, stated: “Alex Otti, the political prostitute who has moved from every political party, cannot surprise me. They are all thieves!”
