APC Leaders Condemn Aiyedatiwa Over Alleged Production Of Fake Membership Slips....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has voiced concerns, alleging that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is involved in the production of counterfeit party membership registers and cards ahead of the primary election. The Ondo APC leaders, represented by the Ondo Vanguards for Good Governance, suspect that Governor Aiyedatiwa may intend to interfere with the party’s upcoming primary slated for April 20th.
They claim that fraudulent APC membership slips have been created for distribution to individuals not associated with the party. Speaking in Akure, the Coordinator of the group, Evangelist Tade Ojo, expressed apprehension that Aiyedatiwa’s supporters might seek to manipulate or undermine the credibility of the primary election due to their anticipation of a potential defeat.
Ojo urged the national leadership of the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prevent Aiyedatiwa and his associates from disrupting the APC primary in Ondo state. He emphasized the need to safeguard the party’s chances in the forthcoming primary and general elections in November, as well as the aspirations of the people of Ondo State for effective leadership and good governance.
The leaders decided to expose what they perceive as disruptive actions to ensure that the fabricated documents could not be presented successfully to the national committee overseeing the primary election.
However, the spokesperson for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS), Kayode Fasua, dismissed the allegations as baseless, attributing them to anonymous individuals supported by “nervous aspirants.” Fasua emphasized that the primary election is an internal affair of the APC, and all aspirants, including the governor, are treated equally in campaign activities and the internal electoral process.
He refuted claims of the governor’s involvement in violence or vandalism, citing the absence of police complaints or arrests. Fasua advised the accusers to remain calm and suggested that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s dedication has surpassed their efforts.
