APC North-West Zone Denounces Zamfara Government’s Actions Against Matawalle

Garba Datti, APC National Vice Chairman of the North West, expressed this disapproval during a media briefing at the party’s Zonal Office in Kaduna on Saturday.
Datti mentioned that the APC North West observed the ongoing efforts of Dauda Lawal’s administration to discredit Matawalle’s reputation, focusing on personal attacks rather than addressing the challenging security issues that have paralyzed the state.
The APC North West strongly denounced the protest orchestrated by supposed civil society groups allegedly supported by the state at the National Assembly.
They considered it a deceptive and ineffective attempt to demand Matawalle’s dismissal from the Federal Executive Council.
Datti stated that it is a demonstration of political maneuvering when the opposition party pressures one to disassociate from a member, signaling that the person poses a threat to their cause.
He highlighted President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s astuteness in recognizing Matawalle’s political importance, serving as the North-West Campaign Coordinator for the 2023 Presidential Elections.
