Apostle Emmanuel Iren Warns Christians Against Dragging Men Of God

Published

Apostle Emmanuel Iren has urged Christians to exercise caution when criticising or publicly attacking men of God, particularly individuals they believe have been called or sent by God to carry out a specific assignment.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Iren made the remarks during a recent sermon while advising believers against joining online or public attacks against religious leaders without being certain that such individuals had acted outside God’s will.

The cleric warned Christians against becoming an obstacle to what another person believes to be a divine assignment, stressing that believers should be careful about their words and actions towards ministers of the gospel.

He said Christians who come across people attacking a man of God on social media or elsewhere should avoid joining the criticism unless they are certain that the individual is not acting according to God’s will.

Iren described deliberately obstructing someone from carrying out what they believe is a God-given assignment as a dangerous act.

The pastor also encouraged Christians to demonstrate respect towards people engaged in seemingly small acts of service for the Christian faith. He used street evangelism and the distribution of Christian tracts as examples, urging believers not to discourage those carrying out such activities.

According to Iren, spiritual maturity should be reflected in how Christians treat people who are serving or sharing their faith, even when they are not personally interested in what is being offered.

He further stressed that believers should understand the seriousness of treating someone they believe has been sent by God with disrespect. According to him, disrespect shown to such a person could ultimately be viewed as disrespect towards the one who sent them.

Iren’s remarks have generated discussions among Christians online, with reactions focusing on his call for respect, restraint and discernment when dealing with religious leaders and people carrying out what they believe to be divine assignments.
