Bayern Munich Shut Down Osimhen Rumours, Kane Remains Transfer Priority

According to Bild, the Bundesliga champions have made their stance clear in recent discussions. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl emphasised that Osimhen would only be considered seriously if Harry Kane were to leave the club at the end of the season.
“Max Eberl made the club’s position clear during the latest contact, stressing that there is no urgency. Osimhen would only become an option if Kane were to seek a summer exit,” Bild reported.
However, such a scenario appears unlikely. Although Kane has a clause allowing him to leave Bayern for €65 million until the end of January, there are currently no indications that the England captain plans to activate it. In fact, Bild reports that Kane has decided against using the clause.
While an immediate move for Osimhen has been ruled out, Bayern continue to monitor the transfer market as part of their long-term planning. The club is keen on securing a reliable backup for Kane, though identifying suitable candidates has proven challenging.
“Bayern are still watching the market. Internally, finding a dependable backup for Kane is a priority,” Bild noted. “A permanent deal for on-loan striker Nicolas Jackson, currently with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, is considered unlikely.”
Osimhen, who has been linked with Bayern on multiple occasions, is reportedly open to a Bundesliga move. Bild claims the Galatasaray forward holds the club in high regard and was recently recommended via an intermediary. Galatasaray are said to be receptive to offers as they look to raise funds.
For now, however, Bayern’s stance remains unchanged, with any renewed interest in Osimhen contingent on Kane’s future at the club.
The 27-year-old striker is currently representing Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. He is under contract with Galatasaray until 2029 and is valued at around €75 million.
