Meanwhile, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Catherine Anene, has confirmed the occurrence and stated that the suspect is currently in police custody.
Anene remarked, “The incident has been verified, and the suspect is in police custody. Further details will be revealed during the investigation.”
According to information obtained from local sources, the tragic event unfolded when Bem, driven by anger, used a knife to fatally stab his wife, who was also the mother of their five children, during a dispute following a minor disagreement.
