Blaqbonez Reveals Shocking Story Behind His Famous Stage Name

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has revealed that his stage name was originally owned by a friend during their school days.

Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, Blaqbonez explained that his friend was passionate about rap and had adopted the name Blaqbonez, but was not actively making music or using the identity professionally.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the rapper said he eventually approached his friend and asked for permission to use the name because he liked it.

Blaqbonez explained that his friend had no active plans to pursue music at the time, making it possible for him to adopt the name and build his career around it.

The rapper also opened up about his long-running feud with fellow Nigerian artiste Odumodublvck, revealing that the disagreement was allegedly connected to a woman they were both romantically involved with.

Blaqbonez said he was unaware that Odumodublvck was also dating the woman at the time, suggesting that the situation contributed significantly to the tension between the two artistes.

The revelation adds another layer to the highly publicised relationship between Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck, whose exchanges have previously generated significant attention among Nigerian music fans.
