George and Shekarau had denounced the coalition, claiming it was driven by personal ambitions rather than genuine intent to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC). However, in a response to Punch, Atiku’s media aide, Paul Ibe, dismissed the criticisms, stating that the coalition remains on track and is unaffected by negative remarks.
Ibe advised George and Shekarau to remain silent if they are not interested in joining the coalition, emphasizing that George has no understanding of the coalition’s workings.
“The coalition is already in motion, and it’s attracting support at every stop. If George and Shekarau wish to join, they are welcome. Otherwise, they should keep quiet,” Ibe asserted. “Bode George has no knowledge of the coalition, and as such, he cannot speak on matters he doesn’t understand,” he added.
