Commending the troops for their resilience amid adversity, Musa acknowledged the sacrifices made by individuals who have been injured or lost their lives in the line of duty. He emphasized the need to persevere in the face of challenges and urged the troops to remain determined in the fight against criminality, banditry, and insurgency.
“I want to encourage us not to get tired, but we must free our country from all acts of criminality, banditry, and insurgency, and we can do it,” Musa declared. He assured the soldiers that as long as he remains the Chief of Defence Staff, they will receive unwavering support to fulfill their duties.
Musa conveyed the commitment of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to support the military in restoring peace to the country. He expressed gratitude for the troops’ efforts and acknowledged the challenges faced, urging them to continue working towards a safer Nigeria.
Despite the current challenges, Musa emphasized the capacity, capability, and determination of the armed forces to bring about positive change. He highlighted the visit of the Chief of Army Staff as a demonstration of the collective support for the troops.
Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commander 8 Division, echoed Musa’s sentiments, assuring the Chief of Defence Staff that Operation Hadarin Daji troops would strive to surpass their achievements in the coming year. He credited their success to the support from the Chief of Defence Staff’s office and the Defence headquarters, expressing confidence in the continued progress of the military’s efforts.
