Brentford Humiliate Chelsea With Stunning Three-Goal Second-Half Rout

Brentford produced a dominant second-half display to defeat Chelsea 3-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium, handing manager Xabi Alonso his heaviest defeat since taking charge of the London club.

Fabio Carvalho completed the rout in stoppage time when he arrived at the back post to convert a straightforward finish.

The goal marked Carvalho’s second in as many matches after he also scored during Brentford’s midweek EFL Cup victory over Reading.

Brentford’s dominance was reflected in the match statistics, with the hosts recording an expected goals figure of 2.65 compared with Chelsea’s 0.82.
